Comments about GREGORY Women's Jade 38 Backpack:
This pack is really well-designed. I bought it for a week in Oaxaca because I wanted a smaller travel backpack than the 60- and 49-liter Ospreys I'd been using, and I couldn't be happier with it. The 3 access points to the main compartment were really convenient and easy to handle, and I also appreciated the roomy space in the top compartment and the map compartment on the front. It easily fit in the carry-on bin on my plane, then I packed it really full and checked it on the way back. I walked for about 30 min. carrying 24 lbs. and found it quite comfortable; I plan to take it on longer wilderness backpacking excursions as well. The only problem with using this for travel is that there's no way to really lock it.

Comments about GREGORY Women's Jade 38 Backpack:
I and 2 friends bought Jade 38 packs in preparation for a trip to New Zealand in Dec. We have been using them this summer on hikes in the White Mountains. We all agree that it is the most comfortable pack ever. I am 5'4" and bought a short size. It has enough compartments to keep your clothing and gear organized, including a compartment for an H20 bladder. I like that it has attachments for hiking poles on exterior sides of the pack. I wish EMS carried more color selections of this pack. I have not owned the pack long enough to comment on durability.

Comments about GREGORY Women's Jade 38 Backpack:
A great backpack. I was looking for a small backpack that I could use for overnight trips. It is large enough to fit a small sized sleeping bag in, tent, clothes, and gear for a night but not so huge you are going to carry 50 pounds. For those that want to limit their weight this is a perfect choice. My only two cons with it is that the side pockets for the water don't go up very high so the waterbottles can fall out when you put the pack down. Second, there are no straps on the bottom to tie your sleeping pad to so you either have to stick it inside the bag, on the top, or strap it to the back somehow.
