Installation could not be any more simple. All you need is a drill, a screwdriver, and a little common sense. Forms a watertight seal as long as the screws are tightened. If you are still worried about leaks, just use rubber washers as well.

Don't recommend, spend the extra money on a better kayak. I'm afraid to test it for leaks since you have to drill holes and the installion instructions are terrible.
