Comments about VASQUE Men's Breeze 2.0 GTX Hiking Boots, Wide, Slate Brown/Orange:

Tried on the normal width version in the store and loved everything about the boot except its width, it felt narrow around my pinkie toes. Ordered the wide online because it was not available in the store, after walking around with them for 20 minutes my pinkie toes started to hurt, after 40 minutes I had to stop and take them off. I normally take a wide boot with no issue. These boots run really narrow and I had to return them and go with something else, otherwise they were exactly what I was looking to for in a boot.

Comments about VASQUE Men's Breeze 2.0 GTX Hiking Boots, Wide, Slate Brown/Orange:

I have always enjoyed the feel and build of the Vasque footwear, this is my 6th pair of Vasque shoes. I was a bit let down when I put the first pair of Breeze GTX boots on and the lace hook popped off its rivet. I took them back and exchanged them for this pair.

I have been wearing these boots for 4 months now and I really like the fit. They are a great pair of boots, light weight with good lightweight lugs that grab terrain well. They are also fairly breathable with gore-tex lining. Much more so when compared to their all leather counterparts.

I am a bit worried about the glue on the rubber toe guards, (could just be my pair) but they started delaminating the first week i wore them, its not huge deal yet but it makes me second guess using them for an extended long distance hike where a flaw like this could become a major problem.

It could be i just happened across two lemons but all in all a fair pair of boots for treks across rugged and wet terrain. Id like to like them more but Ill see how the glue holds up through the spring wet season. If you pick up a pair of these make sure to inspect the hardware and glue quality on the toes when you pick out a pair.

Comments about VASQUE Men's Breeze 2.0 GTX Hiking Boots, Wide, Slate Brown/Orange:

Not many boot makers are willing to make a Boot for the serious hiker anymore. Most boot makers hide behind computer generated, not field tested designs.

Vasque is one of the very few shoe brands to STILL have Rigid soles with very little flex. If you are Boulder Hiking from rock tip to rock tip, any other boot will twist and bend, you lose your footing, and twist an ankle.

Pick up any other boot, and it will bend in your hand with very little effort... that is all I need to see for boot selection. REI, and Dicks do not carry Hiking Boots of quality anymore.

Comments about VASQUE Men's Breeze 2.0 GTX Hiking Boots, Wide, Slate Brown/Orange:

For those like me who have wide feet, at least in the toe box, these fit nice. I haven't gone on any long hikes yet, but so far, very comfortable, happy with my purchase. I'm not planning to do much backpacking, mostly just day hiking, but here in Maine, we do have some challenging trails, lots of climbing, rocks and roots, and I think these will be great.

Comments about VASQUE Men's Breeze 2.0 GTX Hiking Boots, Wide, Slate Brown/Orange:

Bought these specifically for hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. I wanted a light weight, flexible, very waterproof boot, and they did not dissapoint. It rained the first 5 days of the hike, and hardly any water got in. What I really like, is that they lock your heels right in place, with enough room in front to spread your toes a little. My only complaint is that the rubber toe guards are peeling at the edges to soon. But i've already bought 2 extra pairs for future use

Comments about VASQUE Men's Breeze 2.0 GTX Hiking Boots, Wide, Slate Brown/Orange:

I purchased these boots to wear at work in a greenhouse as well as for weekend hiking trips. The Vibram sole and Gortex waterproof fabric are very important as I work in wet and slippery conditions so I need superior traction and waterproofing to stay comfortable on my feet 8 hours a day. Time will tell how the sole and the Gortex hold up.

These are the first boots I have ever had that I was able to put them on and hike.... others required a three to four week break in period. Had to use insoles to gain more support, but that is not the boot that is me. Other ones lasted me 3 years and we did a load of hiking in Katahdin, Acadia, Grafton Notch, and I wore them daily. Recoomend wool socks... even in summer. Great Job people!

Wore out several pairs of the first gen version of this product. I am not happy with the reboot,no pun intended. This new pair is less than a year old and the toe guards are falling off. My biggest gripe is the soft metal upper lace cleats. If you put any pressure on them, they compress, pinching the lace. This leads to a pain in the butt undoing the lace, and it also leads to excessive lace wear. I will not buy these shoes again. I will not buy this company's product again because it's obvious that they are cutting corners and not passing the savings on to the consumer
