• Can be used both with one or two ropes and allows an easy change of braking under load
• Avoids the risk of accidental loss, avoids the rope twisting, and avoids the wear of the connector
• Can be used as an auto-locking device in case of emergency, ascending on one or two ropes (in connection with a Prusik knot)
• Ability to overturn the central bar (fixed by a screw) allows for use by left-handers
